Work Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Equipment Operator to join our team at our Henderson facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who thrives in an active, hands-on work environment.

The role offers a well-rounded experience with an approximate 80/20 split between warehouse tasks and equipment operation duties.

You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and organization of the warehouse and assisting in daily logistical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forklift Operation: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move steel materials, equipment, and other goods around the warehouse, facilitating streamlined workflows.
  • Warehouse Maintenance and Clean-Up: Keep workspaces clean, organized, and hazard-free to promote a safe working environment. This includes sweeping, tidying, and occasional deep cleaning tasks.
  • Assistance to Truck Drivers and Machine Operators: Support other team members, including truck drivers and machine operators, in loading/unloading materials and preparing items for transport or processing.
  • Product Handling: Handle steel products carefully, loading and unloading items as needed, ensuring proper storage and preventing damage.
  • Equipment Operation: On a fill-in basis, assist with HR driving responsibilities by delivering steel products to clients and customers, ensuring timely, safe, and professional service.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Equipment Operating Experience: A mix of driving, manual handling, and equipment operation experience is required for this role.
  • Heavy Rigid License: A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) License is essential for the role, as you will occasionally be required to fulfill driving tasks.
  • Forklift License: This is highly desirable and will allow you to perform a wider range of duties, supporting warehouse productivity and efficiency.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, including lifting, moving, and handling steel products safely.
  • Safety Focused: Strong awareness of workplace safety practices and a commitment to following all safety protocols.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Consistent start at 5:00 am is required, along with flexibility for overtime and weekend work based on operational needs.
  • Team Player: Demonstrates a cooperative and supportive attitude, assisting team members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations.
