Healthcare Leader for Acute Elderly Care

About the Role:
">The Northern Adelaide Local Health Network is seeking a skilled Nurse Unit Manager to lead its Acute Care of the Elderly unit. As part of this dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our elderly patients.
This role requires strong clinical expertise, coupled with effective leadership and management skills. You will oversee the day-to-day operations of the unit, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices.
You will mentor and guide your team, promoting professional development and continuous learning. Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be essential in coordinating comprehensive care plans for our elderly patients.
As a registered nurse with experience in acute elderly care, you will be well-suited for this challenging yet rewarding role.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a dynamic team of healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality patient care
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Acute Care of the Elderly unit
- Mentor and guide team members to promote professional development and continuous learning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care plans for elderly patients
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment that promotes patient safety and quality care
Requirements:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
- Holds or is eligible to hold a current practicing certificate
- Proven leadership abilities, excellent interpersonal skills, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety and quality care
