System Engineer Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Engineer to provide critical day-to-day production support, incident and crisis management for massive scale, distributed systems.

Responsibilities
  • Provide thorough response in entire incident response life cycle
  • Operational risk management of complex fast-moving Equities trading business
  • Proactive management of production services by measuring and monitoring availability, and overall system health
  • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, reviewing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning and launch reviews
  • Ability to enhance existing or implement production support tooling and release management system
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Solid knowledge and experience in incident management lifecycle
  • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with outstanding verbal and written communication skills with other groups, technology teams, and business users
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to break down and communicate complex issues, ideas and provide multiple solutions to a problem
  • Previous experience of supporting electronic trading environments and/or systematic algo trading is preferred
  • Proficient in UNIX – in-depth knowledge is a must; Experience supporting applications in Linux or Unix environment
  • Proficient in Python is preferred
  • Strong communication skills with track record of working and collaborating with global teams
