Senior Corporate Lawyer

The role of a senior corporate lawyer is to provide expert legal advice and governance support to businesses.
- Undertake reviews of marketing materials to ensure compliance with relevant laws.
- Provide corporate, commercial, and financial services legal advice to all business units.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts.
- Offer insurance product advice and documentation.
- Provide statutory interpretation and advice on legislative reforms impacting the business.
- Support litigation for corporate cases.
- Advise on complaints and potential disputes, including those at AFCA.
- Provide staff legal training.
- Tertiary qualifications (LLB or equivalent).
- A current NSW (or other Australian State) Legal Practitioner Practising Certificate – mandatory.
- Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience in a mid or top-tier firm.
- Experience in providing commercial legal advice in private practice.
- Previous experience working in an insurance and/or Australian financial services environment (desirable).
- A pragmatic and commercial focus, including understanding of the general insurance market.
- Highly developed stakeholder and people management skills.
- A high level of written and spoken language skills.
