Job Title: Fabric Artisan

We are seeking a skilled Fabric Artisan to join our team. As a Fabric Artisan, you will be responsible for assembling canopies for shop fronts by attaching fabric to frames and stapling with a staple gun.

The ideal candidate will have experience in upholstery, fabrics, marine, and boating industries, as well as an excellent eye for detail and a focus on quality.

You will work from Monday to Friday, 7am - 3:30pm, and be expected to handle various fabrics, wrap materials around frames of different sizes, stretch fabric, and iron out creases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reading production sheets
  • Handling various fabrics such as canvas and synthetic products
  • Wrapping material around frames of varying sizes
  • Stretching fabric and ironing out creases
  • Stapling down to secure

Requirements:

  • Upholstery experience in any industry highly regarded
  • Excellent eye for detail with a focus on quality
  • Strong and physically fit

Work Environment:

This role is based in the Southeastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
