Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and blood transfusions with precision and care.
  • Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends.
  • Deliver comprehensive patient education and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, haematologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain professional development and set goals to address gaps or desired growth.
  • Adhere to policy and procedure to maintain patient and organisational confidence.
  • Contribute to team goals and objectives, demonstrating a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Requirements
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion.
  • Demonstrated clinical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and coordinate care.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and evidence-based practice principles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a team member, with a focus on patient-centred care.
  • Experience in oncology or haematology is highly desirable.
