Strategic Program Manager Opportunity

This is a critical leadership role responsible for the strategic and operational management of a portfolio of programs that support migrant participation, individual and community resilience, preparedness, and recovery.

The Strategic Program Manager will be responsible for brokering local, regional, and state sector, community, and government collaborations and partnerships to advance organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with external stakeholders to maximize collaboration opportunities and sustain organisational reputation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of issues affecting people impacted by migration, and their vulnerabilities and strengths.
  • Comprehensive understanding of community resilience, preparedness, and recovery program models in the context of emergencies and disasters.
  • Use data-driven approaches to monitor performance and impact, identify issues, and develop and implement corrective actions.
Requirements:
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and proficiency in collaboration, resource planning, and prioritization.
  • Well-developed cultural competency skills and the ability to work with and lead teams of people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Evidenced ability to research and analyze complex information and use this to optimize and continuously improve business approaches and models.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, including strong presentation and public speaking skills.
  • Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to produce high-quality reports and promotional material.
