Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a skilled part-time psychiatrist to join our Developmental Disability Mental Health Team.
The successful candidate will work with our team, providing assessment and consultation services to patients aged 14 years and older who have intellectual disabilities, including autism, FASD, Down Syndrome, and mental health needs.
This position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to contribute to the growth of our interdisciplinary team, which includes nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, and psychiatrists.
The role involves providing specialized community-based consultation services, working closely with family physicians and community care teams. The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and running modified CBT/DBT groups for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.
Key aspects of this position include:
- Providing comprehensive assessments and consultations to patients with complex needs
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to develop treatment plans
- Designing and delivering innovative therapeutic programs
