About the Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Specialist to ensure that our operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of designated areas and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of operators and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Conduct metal detector and x-ray machine checks and implement required corrective action
- Monitor and report on hygiene and sanitation procedures during processing in each area
- Monitor air and water temperatures
- Conduct regular hygiene checks including carton meat assessment and meat hygiene assessment
Additional responsibilities include completing electronic and hard copy forms daily, documenting findings, corrective actions, follow-up actions, and sign-offs. The ideal candidate will possess excellent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Requirements:
- Flexibility to work shift rosters and weekends as required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards
