About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Fabrication Supervisor to join our team at Connect Personnel. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing oversight and coordination of maintenance operations to maintain the highest standards of customer service, safety, efficiency, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Maintenance and Fabrication Activities: Perform routine maintenance and fabrication tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.
  • Plan and Schedule Maintenance Activities: Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production output.
  • Monitor Equipment Performance: Regularly inspect equipment and identify potential issues to prevent breakdowns and minimize disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Other Departments: Work closely with production and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks based on operational needs.
  • Manage Inventory and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, reports, and equipment history, using computerized maintenance management systems.
  • Manage Cost Expenditure: Carefully manage cost expenditure to ensure it remains within budget.

Requirements:

  • Proven Experience: Proven experience as a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Leadership and Team Management Skills: Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of technicians.
  • Technical Background: Strong technical background with a mechanical trade qualification.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge and understanding of maintenance principles, practices, and equipment reliability.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills, including experience with maintenance management processes and software.
