Telecommunications Technologist

About the Role

As a Telecommunications Technician with Queensland Rail, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing telecommunications and electronic equipment. You will work on a variety of systems, including radio systems, transmission systems, and remote monitoring equipment.

• Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and electronic equipment
• Maintain records and associated documentation
• Report on actual work performed against the scheduled maintenance program
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications

About You

• Sound skills in the installation, maintenance, and fault rectification of telecommunications equipment and systems
• Driver's License
• Electronics Trade Certificate (similar qualifications in electronics considered)
• Ability to travel and work within regional Queensland
• Flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
