About this Role

We're seeking a skilled professional to join our team of rehabilitation consultants in Darwin. This position is identified for an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and is intended to constitute a special measure.

The successful candidate will assist with developing and delivering culturally appropriate programs and services for First Nations clients, evaluating treatment and/or rehabilitation needs, identifying future employment or training options, and performing assessments depending on their area of clinical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the development and delivery of culturally appropriate programs and services for First Nations clients.
  • Evaluate the treatment and/or rehabilitation needs of workers who have been involved in a work-related or non-work-related injury or illness.
  • Help clients identify future employment or training options by reviewing their transferable skills, qualifications, and interests.
  • Perform a variety of assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise.
  • Responsible for effective case management to plan, coordinate, and monitor client progress toward their return-to-work goal.
About You
  • You will have experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, organisations, and communities as well as well-developed communication skills, empathy, and cultural competence.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional registration.
  • A variety of levels of experience from graduate to senior levels.
