Job Title: Solution Architect

We are seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join our team at Hudson Australia. As a key member of our Federal Government Technology, Projects & Transformation team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-based architectures that drive data, analytics, and AI across our clients' organizations.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cloud and/or lakehouse design, with experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure data and analytics and lakehouse architectures, as well as collaborating with DevOps, Data Engineering, and Security teams to ensure optimal build and integration of the data layer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and document solutions for a data lakehouse on Snowflake, using Alation for data governance and connecting to Power BI and Workato.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure optimal build and integration of the data layer.
  • Track costs and performance and optimize designs for cost efficiency and performance.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud and data technologies and best practices.
  • Future proof designs to meet evolving business requirements and incorporate new technologies.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud and/or lakehouse design in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong experience with cloud data warehousing (Snowflake).
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Familiarity with data management tools (Alation) and integration platforms (Workato).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Strong understanding of security principles in cloud environments.
  • Understanding of Australian Government ICT Security policies or equivalent Industry best practices.
