About the Role:
Evolve Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Production Manager to join our team on a casual or permanent basis. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading our production activities, ensuring seamless execution of our manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Production Activities: Directly manage all production activities, including safety, cost, efficiency, and quality, to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Engagement: Foster a positive and productive work environment by engaging with the production team, providing coaching and performance management, and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and lead the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with the operations manager, technical support functions, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Maintenance and Administration: Coordinate maintenance schedules, assign repair tasks, and complete administrative tasks for the production team.
Requirements:
- Strong Supervisory Experience: Proven track record of supervisory experience, preferably with a mechanical aptitude and relevant engineering or trade qualification.
- Lean Manufacturing Certificate: Possession of a Lean Manufacturing Certificate or equivalent experience.
- Production Management Leadership: Demonstrated experience in production management leadership, with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Strong Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
