The successful candidate will have a proven track record in educational leadership, with a strong background in working with students with special needs and disengaged students. They will be responsible for developing and leading programs to enhance literacy and numeracy skills, and implementing the Australian Curriculum.

The school is committed to providing a second start in the journey of learning, and the Deputy Principal will play a key role in achieving this goal. They will be expected to inspire and lead a diverse team, establish and manage programs in a new school environment, and demonstrate expertise in developing and leading programs to enhance literacy and numeracy skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and lead programs to enhance literacy and numeracy skills
  • Implement the Australian Curriculum
  • Work with students with special needs and disengaged students
  • Lead a diverse team and establish and manage programs in a new school environment
  • Demonstrate expertise in educational leadership and program development
Requirements
  • Queensland College of Teachers Registration (or eligibility to gain)
  • Working Rights for Australia (or eligible to gain) including Skilled Migrant Visa
  • Proven experience in educational leadership and working with students with special needs and disengaged students
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and leading programs to enhance literacy and numeracy skills
  • Commitment to Christian values and experience integrating faith into educational practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
