At Optimum Consulting, we are seeking an experienced Senior Coal Mine Planning Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Technical Services group, you will play a vital role in the planning and execution of short-term mine plans, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based on-site at a coal mine in North QLD. The position offers an excellent work-life balance with an 8/6 roster and paid flights from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Engineering (Mining or Civil) degree and significant experience in open-cut coal mining and scheduling. You will also possess a strong working knowledge of Spry or equivalent software packages and hold a current Standard 11 (or be willing to obtain). A current Queensland driver's licence is also required.

We offer a competitive remuneration package, including:

  • AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum salary
  • Paid flights from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast

  • Strategic planning, optimisation, and monitoring of Drill and Blast activities
  • Tracking operation KPIs and commercial progress
