Job Overview

The Senior Audit Manager will play a key role in the APAC Audit Services Team based in Melbourne. This position is responsible for coordinating, overseeing, and executing audit engagements with a focus on Australian business activities.

The successful candidate will provide strategic thinking, thought leadership, and guidance on identifying key risks, assessing control design, and operating effectiveness. They will also manage and oversee the end-to-end execution of audit engagements, ensuring work is performed within established timeframes and adhering to Audit Services Department's Policies and Standards.

This role requires strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills, as well as expertise in internal audit principles and methodology. Experience in data analytics and knowledge of regulatory obligations, including APRA prudential standards, are highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic thinking and guidance on identifying key risks and assessing control design and operating effectiveness.
  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end execution of audit engagements.
  • Ensure work is performed within established timeframes and adhere to Audit Services Department's Policies and Standards.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to team members with less experience.
  • Establish strong working relationships and communications with key stakeholders in Australia, APAC, and globally.
Requirements
  • Strong team player with experience in guiding a team.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory obligations, including APRA prudential standards.
  • Expertise in internal audit principles and methodology.
  • Highly skilled in report writing, work paper documentation, project and time management.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of AUD $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, superannuation, and professional development opportunities.
