Senior Dental Care Assistant

This is a role that involves working as part of a dental team to provide high-quality patient care and support. As a key member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the effective running of the service.
Key Responsibilities- Welcoming and receiving patients into the dental service
- Reassuring patients and explaining dental procedures, particularly when there may be communication difficulties
- Monitoring and supporting patients through relevant behavioral techniques
- Recording treatment, including baseline charting, clinical treatments, and periodontal charting from the operator's instructions
Clinical Responsibilities:
- In collaboration with the wider dental team, deciding when patients need to be seen urgently
- Anticipating the operator's requirements across a broad range of clinical procedures
- Assisting the operator in organizing the day's activities
- Preparing the surgery for use at the beginning of the session and clearing up at the end of the session
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of dental procedures and protocols
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
