MQ Health Pty Ltd is a leading healthcare provider dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and promoting innovation in medical education. We are seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to join our team as an Orthopaedic Education Specialist.



Role Overview

This permanent, full-time position involves developing and delivering comprehensive education programs for nursing staff within our Orthopaedic Institute. As an Orthopaedic Education Specialist, you will collaborate closely with our MQ Health Academy to plan, develop, and deliver educational content that supports the ongoing growth and progression of our nursing staff.



Key Responsibilities

  2. Develop and deliver high-quality education programs tailored to meet the needs of nursing staff within our Orthopaedic Institute.
  3. Collaborate with Clinical and Perioperative CNEs to coordinate and facilitate mandatory education.
  4. Work with the MQ Health Academy to develop preceptors' capacity to support nursing students, new graduate nurses, and new nursing staff members.
  5. Support NUMs in coordinating standardized orientation for nursing students and new starters in the department.
  6. Contribute to the development of specialist education resources by providing subject matter expertise.


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:



  • A minimum of 5+ years' experience in a clinical role within Clinical Orthopaedic Ward and current experience in teaching or education, with a demonstrated commitment to clinical teaching of others.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, ensuring multiple people with different agendas work efficiently towards the same goal.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances, with the ability to set priorities and establish and achieve agreed objectives.
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team, with demonstrated strong motivational and problem-solving skills.
  • Evidence of professional development commensurate with the level of autonomy and authority expected of the position.
  • The capability to lead others in recording and communicating essential information to nursing colleagues and other health professionals.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and participation in accreditation processes.
  • A post-registration certificate in relevant specialty areas or adult education or equivalent.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this role is AU$120,000 - AU$150,000, depending on your qualifications and experience.
