Surveyor Position in Explosive Ordnance Range

We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Data Acquisition Support team as a Surveyor. The successful candidate will work on an Explosive Ordnance range, utilising survey equipment and technology to ensure the accuracy of test equipment at test sites.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the accuracy of survey data including measurements and calculations.
- Provide survey services to ensure the accurate location and layout of work for Test and Evaluation services.
- Collect relevant data for range trials and tasks, and save the data into appropriate formats for reporting functions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- The ability to interpret and comply with written instructions.
- Ability to comply with Work Health Safety Act and Regulations.
- Ability to work under supervision or independently to ensure department objectives are met.
- Ability to work within a team environment.
- Proactive attitude and interest to continuously improve systems and processes.
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to provide hands-on support as required, for the conduct of Test and Evaluation activities.
- Competent in use of surveying computer based software.
- Ability to use a wide range of ICT tools to aid in carrying out duties.
Employment at Port Wakefield includes a Special Distance Locality Assistance allowance of $309.85 per fortnight. The estimated annual salary for this position is between $83,706 and $89,659, plus up to 15.4% Superannuation.
About Our TeamP&EE Port Wakefield carries out Test and Evaluation activities for a diverse range of various calibre munitions and other explosive ordnance. The Establishment captures performance data of the munitions, and provides that information on behalf of Defence.
