Job Title: Perioperative Nurse Leader

Clinical Nurses play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care during surgical procedures. We are seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse to lead our team in the Operating Theatres at Princess Alexandra Hospital.

  • Provide advanced perioperative nursing care for patients with complex needs, focusing on safety and effectiveness.
  • Support and mentor nursing staff and students, promoting professional growth and best practice.
  • Contribute to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
About the Role
  • Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in vascular and endovascular surgery is required.
  • Advanced clinical knowledge, leadership skills, and ability to guide colleagues in a dynamic operating theatre environment are essential.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective perioperative nursing strategies to improve patient care and safety.
  • Lead and manage a team of nurses, promoting a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Participate in educational programs, workshops, and conferences to stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and advancements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or relevant field.
  • Current NMBA registration and CPR certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
