Procurement Officer Role

Lycopodium is seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to join our Perth-based team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for providing support in procurement, purchasing, expediting, cost control, and transport and logistics for allocated projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor the progress of procurement activities to ensure timely issue of enquiries, tender evaluation, and award of purchase orders.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to secure optimal prices and deliveries for equipment, meeting project technical, schedule, and commercial requirements.
  • Conduct commercial analysis and evaluation of quotations to select the best supplier.
  • Develop and maintain effective vendor data and goods tracking systems.
  • Review orders to ensure details align with the original tender request and client-approved ATC.
  • Assist with sourcing general items for office and site operations.
  • Liaise with the project team to prepare project deliverables.
Requirements
  • A recent graduate or circa 2 years' experience in procurement, expediting, and/or logistics, preferably in the engineering or construction industries.
  • Qualifications in procurement are preferred but not essential.
  • High-level negotiating and problem-solving skills.
  • Driven and determined to achieve objectives through professional development.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and ability to navigate various systems.
  • High attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision, and experience in following issues through to resolution.
  • Well-developed communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
  • A self-starter who can adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work within a team and willingness to assist as required.
