Sheetmetal Worker Job Description

">Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret and assess technical drawings, blueprints, and plans to determine project requirements.
• Measure, mark, and cut sheet metal according to design specifications and instructions.
• Perform cutting, bending, stamping, welding, soldering, bolting, brazing, and riveting tasks on sheet metal as required.

Duties:

• Install piping, tubing, and ducting for heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, and install metal roofing sheets, guttering, and downspouts.
• Solder and insulate roof coverings to ensure waterproofing.
• Assess and repair or replace damaged or rusty sheet metal products as necessary.

Requirements:
  • Cert III in Sheet Metal work or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a related field.
  • White card (Construction Induction Training Card).
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Punctual and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
