Job Summary:

This role is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of parks and open spaces, ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will lead a team in performing a range of horticultural maintenance tasks, including garden bed upkeep and park asset management.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a crew to undertake inspections and works, with a focus on effective and efficient maintenance programming.
  • Operate and maintain plant and equipment in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Work within Council health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Record maintenance activities undertaken, time sheets and plant sheets or recorded on the Management Maintenance system.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will possess a trade Certificate in Gardening, Horticulture or equivalent, and experience in broad horticultural maintenance activities performed in the Parks environment.
