Mine Planning and Closure Expert

We're seeking an experienced Mine Planning and Closure Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support the mine planning team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship.

About the Role
  • Utilize advanced understanding of mining engineering principles to develop design surfaces, schedules, and costs for life of mine, tailings, and closure plans following industry best practices.
  • Lead proposal development by outlining work scopes and estimating project schedules and costs.
  • Manage all aspects of projects, including overseeing the budget, scope, and schedule.
  • Interact competently with internal and external stakeholders who possess varying levels of expertise.
Key Qualifications
  • An advanced knowledge of mine planning first principles and a wealth of experience in mine and/or tailings planning.
  • Experience in the operational or closure phases within the mining industry.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and legislative frameworks.
  • Strong project management skills and an eagerness to lead interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Advanced skills in mine planning software in either Hexagon MinePlan and/or Deswik.CAD.
  • A tertiary qualification in Mining, Civil, or Geological Engineering.
