Manufacturing Operations Supervisor

At Kellogg's Australia, we're seeking a skilled Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our day shift Operations team, you'll be responsible for leading end-to-end production functions, managing labor and performance results, and ensuring a safe and high-quality work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and guide operators and their activities for their assigned area during shift.
  • Ensure adherence to standard work processes and Kellogg's work systems.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of plans and policies to ensure compliance with food safety policies and procedures.
  • Conduct training and develop capability of employees to achieve optimal skills levels on shift.
  • Carry out appropriate shift handover duties, integrating actions with other shifts when needed.
  • Conduct sanitation audits and develop action plans in consultation with Operations Manager.
  • Work through operational issues on shift and ensure quality compliance actions are completed in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Food Technology, or Business, or Diploma with evidenced learning in a related field.
  • Strong background in a food manufacturing environment, including processing, packing, and mechanical.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage people, with up to 40 people on shift.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to have tough conversations when necessary.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computers.
  • Strong problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others and work as part of a team and cross-functionally to drive better outcomes for your team and shift.
