About this role

We seek a qualified Locomotive Driver to join our team at Aurizon, Australia's largest rail freight operator. You will be responsible for operating locomotives on mainline, shunting, and marshalling duties.

Key responsibilities

  • Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
  • Operate locomotives according to Aurizon's safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain a high level of on-time running.
  • Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.

Requirements

  • A strong commitment to safety and the Aurizon Safety Strategy.
  • Availability to work 24/7 shift roster.
  • Experience in WA Safe working System is advantageous.
  • A certificate IV in Rail Operations.
  • A current unrestricted Class C drivers' licence.
