Medical Laboratory Scientist Opportunity

As a medical laboratory scientist, you will work in a collaborative environment to conduct clinical case analysis and deliver genetics and genomics services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct cytogenetic & genomic assays for clinical case analysis
  • Support data analysis & reporting for paediatric oncology
  • Ensure quality, compliance & staff training in lab processes

Additionally, you will contribute to campus efforts related to gender equity, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing through role modelling and participation. Your role involves performing test procedures, data analysis, and report writing as directed, maintaining proficiency in genetic and genomic assays and procedures.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science or Applied Science degree with Honours
  • Graduate Membership of the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists eligibility
  • At least 36 months of employment experience in an IANZ/NATA accredited oncology cytogenetics laboratory
