Job Description

Rex is Australia's leading regional and domestic airline, operating a fleet of 61 Saab and 7 Boeing aircraft to 58 destinations throughout all states in Australia.

The Rex Group comprises wholly owned subsidiaries Pel-Air Aviation (air freight, aeromedical and charter operator) and the two pilot academies, Australian Airline Pilot Academy in Wagga Wagga and Ballarat.

About the Role

This part-time position offers an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join the Rex Sydney Airport Team as a Customer Service Officer.

The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless check-in experience for passengers at Sydney Airport.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic and regional check-in services for Rex at Sydney Airport;
  • Handle reservations and ticket sales, including collection of payments;
  • Perform pre- and post-flight duties, ensuring efficient airport operations;
  • Edit flights as required;
  • Manage sales reporting and recording functions;
  • Assist with the receipt and dispatch of aircraft, including operation of the aerobridge when necessary;
  • Operate the SABRE computer system effectively;
  • Familiarity with the Departure Control System (DCS);
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the Rex Lounge, including processing guests, restocking, and cleaning;
  • Support special needs customers;
  • Ensure passenger marshalling is carried out safely and efficiently;
  • Respond to damaged and lost baggage enquiries from customers;
  • Maintain compliance with the company's safety policy and standard operating procedures;
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Previous airline customer service experience essential;
  • GDS experience also crucial;
  • Able to obtain an ASIC (Aviation Security Identification Card);
  • A willingness to work shift patterns, including early starts, evenings, and weekends;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and commit to on-time performance;
  • Previous customer service experience mandatory;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • An outstanding personal image and presentation;
  • High-level computer literacy;
  • Capacity to work independently;
