Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Driving and overseeing compliance incident management and breach reporting requirements across Australia.
  • Assuming hands-on responsibility and direct accountability for tasks and activities allocated.
  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver objectives and manage compliance risks within our risk appetite.
  • Engaging and presenting confidently with senior members of staff, including the Executive Team and Committees.
  • Acting as the Compliance SME on broader compliance-related matters.
  • Providing technical advisory support on general enquiries, escalated matters, incident investigations, and assessments.
  • Reviewing and challenging from a Line 2 Compliance perspective.
  • Facilitating and assisting the business with compliance policy implementation.
  • Delivering technical training to the business on compliance incident management and breach reporting.
  • Assisting with other compliance activities as required.
  • Assisting with regulatory engagement with BCCC, ASIC, APRA, and other regulators as needed.
  • Embedding relevant components of the Compliance Management Framework within the team and as it applies to the business.
  • Managing incident assessment allocations and overseeing Line 2 Compliance assessments undertaken.
  • Undertaking regular reporting and engagement with External Audit on compliance incident management and breach reporting.
  • Reviewing, analyzing, and engaging key stakeholders as required.
  • Coaching and mentoring direct reports and broader team members.
