Role Overview

We are currently in search of an OHW Site Engineer to enhance our dynamic Rail Operations division.

Rail Operations is a specialized internal unit within Laing O'Rourke, focusing exclusively on the comprehensive delivery of rail services. Our team of technical experts is dedicated to executing a substantial portfolio of track work throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering assistance to Project Engineers and Site Supervisors during construction activities.
  • Contribute to the planning and documentation processes for assigned work packages, ensuring adherence to quality and scope specifications.
  • Facilitate the procurement process for equipment and materials, which may involve compiling documentation, drafting scopes, and addressing tender inquiries.
  • Support Quality Assurance initiatives and ensure compliance with Quality Control procedures (ITPs, ITRs, etc.).
  • Promote a culture of safety and well-being, aligning with the principles of Rethinking Safety by setting clear standards and serving as a role model.
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with all key stakeholders relevant to the work area.

Candidate Profile (Essential Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or equivalent qualifications.
  • Prior experience in Overhead Wiring within the construction sector.
  • Experience working on Rail Projects is essential.
