Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our communications and engagement efforts. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for creating clear, timely, and engaging content for internal and external audiences.

As a Senior Communications Officer, you will lead the delivery of strategic communications and engagement initiatives. This includes creating proactive communications plans, providing expert advice, managing media relations, and supporting community engagement.

  • Lead media relations, including enquiries, media releases, social media, and digital content.
  • Deliver proactive communications and engagement plans aligned with our vision.
  • Provide leadership and strategic advice to ensure clear, consistent, and customer-focused communications.
  • Support community education, uphold corporate style guidelines, and analyze feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to incident management and maintain accurate records and materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial working knowledge and experience in communications and/or engagement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Communications, or similar.
  • Knowledge and skills in the development and delivery of communications and engagement plans and projects.
  • Editing and copywriting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
