About the Role

Bedford Group is seeking experienced and qualified support workers to join our team in our metropolitan sites. As a Disability Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities with our clients, focusing on assisting and empowering them to achieve their goals and develop new skills within a supportive, positive, and fun environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 or 1:3 support to clients
  • Support clients to achieve their NDIS goals
  • Complete progress and incident reports
  • Work with clients to promote individual choice and control
  • Provide transport to clients using a Bedford pool car
  • Maintain a duty of care for clients, other staff, and yourself

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic and energetic individuals with a person-centred approach, as well as a genuine passion for working with people with disability to help them achieve their goals and build new skills. A minimum Cert III in Disability (or equivalent) and current First Aid and CPR certification are required. Strong written and verbal skills, a positive focus to 'do with and not for' to empower our clients, and a willingness to work in a supportive and inclusive environment are essential.
