The role involves providing educational counselling and support services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children and students across a number of schools, as well as participating in the development of activities to enhance their involvement in education.
Key responsibilities include providing educational counselling and support services, developing and undertaking support service programs, and establishing and maintaining links with out of school sources of information and support services.
Mandatory Requirements for an Identified RoleIt is a genuine occupational requirement for Identified roles that the position be filled by an Aboriginal person or a Torres Strait Islander person, as set out in Section 7 of the Anti Discrimination Act 1991 for the purposes contained in Section 25 of that Act.
