We are currently in search of a dedicated and skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to take on a pivotal role at Boral. As a leading player in the cement industry, Boral is committed to providing high-quality products and services to our customers.

In this role, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will oversee the effective execution of electrical and instrumentation maintenance strategies, manage electrical projects, and coordinate major planned shutdowns. Your focus will be on ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and the successful implementation of Berrima's Electrical Engineering Control Plan. This position is essential for guiding a substantial Electrical Trades team through hands-on leadership and support.

Your Responsibilities Include:

  • Overseeing and supporting the electrical department to ensure that electrical and instrumentation systems meet safety, production, reliability, and environmental objectives.
  • Ensuring the optimal functionality of all site electrical systems.
  • Conducting various electrical engineering tasks to maintain the safety and reliability of all electrical systems on-site, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing upgrades, improvements, and capital projects as necessary.
  • Coordinating and supervising electrical contractors to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Mentoring and guiding the electrical team to foster development and enhance performance.

What We Are Seeking:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Electrical Engineer in heavy industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively to find effective solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical standards and compliance regulations.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to cultivate effective working relationships and lead teams.
