About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Litigation Specialist to join our team in our Norwest office. As a key member of our litigation practice, you will work on a diverse range of commercial disputes, including corporations and shareholder disputes, contract disputes, franchising disputes, ACL claims, property disputes and building and construction disputes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Taking carriage of various litigation matters, including corporations and shareholder disputes, contract disputes, franchising disputes, ACL claims, property disputes and building and construction disputes.
  • Attending Court to represent our clients' interests.
  • Dealing directly with counsel and clients to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Working collaboratively within a team, including working and mentoring junior lawyers and paralegals.
  • Preparing and advising on possible outcomes associated with litigation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a lawyer, preferably in a commercial litigation environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Federal Court and NSW Court's procedure and requirements.
  • Broad scope of commercial litigation experience, including corporations and shareholder disputes, contract disputes, franchising disputes, ACL claims, property disputes and building and construction disputes.
  • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities to provide effective advice to clients.
  • Mentorship skills to assist in developing our junior cohort.
  • Strong practice management and attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
