The position of Horticultural Equipment Operator is available in a municipality that offers an ideal blend of city and country lifestyle and facilities.

As part of the parks and gardens maintenance team, you will be responsible for maintaining Council facilities and open spaces including tree planting, landscaping, mowing and general maintenance of parks, gardens, reserves, roadsides, road medians and paths on Councils Parks and Facility maintenance programs.

Key requirements include:

  • Year 10 or 11 certificate or equivalent
  • A Medium rigid truck License - Essential
  • Working with Children Check ID Card - current
  • Demonstrated experience in horticultural maintenance or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of high-profile gardens and lawn areas
  • Demonstrated experience in the safe operation and maintenance of specialised horticultural equipment

Effective communication skills are required to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Pre-employment checks may be conducted as part of the selection process.
