About the Role: We seek a highly skilled Embedded Radio Frequency Software Engineer to join our team in Macquarie Park.

As an Embedded Radio Frequency Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and test software for our advanced sonar and acoustic communication systems. Your primary focus will be on embedded software that controls radio frequency modules and interfaces with system hardware.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement software for radio frequency modules in C++
  • Maintain and update software drivers for RF hardware interfaces
  • Test and debug software to ensure compliance with system requirements
  • Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize system performance
  • Develop and maintain software documentation

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Strong proficiency in C++ programming
  • Experience with embedded systems and host software device control
  • Experience developing software for RF systems hardware (VHF, UHF)
  • Real-time processing experience on Linux
  • C++ design and implementation skills for large code bases
  • Experience using laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and signal generators
  • Understanding of network concepts and distributed systems over Ethernet
  • Experience with hardware testing processes
  • Python experience in simulation and test frameworks
  • Linux and Windows application development experience
