Exciting Opportunity & Training

We are currently recruiting Trainee Aviation Rescue Fire Fighters for our Darwin station. This is an excellent opportunity to start a new career as a first responder within the Aviation industry, with the chance to earn while you learn.

The first 11 weeks of your employment will be conducted out of our training facility in Melbourne, where you will receive comprehensive training. You will then spend the next 4 weeks finishing your qualification at the station.

Upon completion of the training, you will commence in your role on station, where you can expect to be involved in:

  • Providing critical first response rescue and first-aid services in emergency situations
  • Offering expert fire safety advice
  • Educating on firefighting techniques
  • Tackling emergencies, from aircraft incidents to fires
  • Embracing both physical and mental challenges, with a roster system that ensures a healthy work-life balance
  • Ongoing training and development
Certification and Salary

You will have the opportunity to gain the PUA20622 Certificate II in Public Safety (Fire Fighting and Emergency Operations), awarded by our Registered Training Organisation (RTO 5168).

During training, you will receive a salary of $50,567.00 per annum, plus superannuation. Upon completing your qualification, your salary will increase to $70,818.00 per annum, plus superannuation.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must hold a current Australian Driver's license, a minimum grade 10 high school certificate, and be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or permanent resident.
