Thai Cuisine Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Thai Cuisine Specialist to join our team at Thai Basement Gladstone. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Thai culinary traditions and a flair for creating innovative dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes, including curries, seafood, and oven grills.
• Portion food, place on plate, add gravies, and garnish dishes.
• Preserve and store foodstuffs in appropriate temperature-controlled facilities.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety.
• Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with management to create menus.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Thai Cuisine Chef.
• Relevant culinary qualifications are desired with at least Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery/Kitchen Management or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of work experience as a Chef in a commercial kitchen.
• Strong understanding and knowledge of Thai ingredients and cooking techniques.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
