Electrical HSE Advisor

We have exciting opportunities available for highly skilled Electrical focused HSE Advisors to join our team on a recently awarded high profile Lithium project. This is an excellent chance to work on large-scale multidisciplinary project management and construction services with one of Australia's leading resources, energy and infrastructure companies.

About the Role

This is a site-based role that requires strong technical expertise in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). You will provide HSE advice and support to ensure safe work practices across various projects and sites. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing HSE guidance to manage safety issues, improve performance and culture, and enhance management systems.
  • Conducting audits, inspections, investigations, and training/awareness programs to promote a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Monitoring work practices to ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.
  • Evaluating HSE processes and activities to guarantee adherence to relevant legislation and company standards.
  • Supporting the implementation of HSE improvements, plans, or solutions through hands-on involvement.
  • Maintaining knowledge of contemporary HSE practices and providing recommendations for effective solutions.
  • Conducting regular analysis and investigations to identify performance trends and areas of concern at a project or site level.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A minimum 3+ years' experience in a site-based HSE role, preferably working for similar construction contractors on E&I scopes of work.
  • A Certificate IV qualification in OHS/WHS, with a Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment being desirable.
  • An Applied First Aid Certificate and a valid Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Strong understanding and working knowledge of Australian HSE legislation and industry standards.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and an innovative approach to problem-solving.
