Key Responsibilities- Assist with evaluating and assessing the learning needs of students under the direction and supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Attend meetings with parents, teachers, and specialists to discuss student progress and needs.
- Work with students according to the directions and lesson plans given by the class teacher.
- Provide physical assistance to students where necessary and appropriate.
- Participate in planning days with team teachers to discuss student needs.
- Provide support to students with social and emotional needs.
- Adhere to individual classroom rules, expectations, and behaviour management plans.
- Assist with in-class support programs as directed by the classroom teacher.
- Report regularly to the classroom teacher on student progress.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to student information.
- Hold a Working with Children Blue Card.
- Be fully supportive of the ethos of Catholic Education.
