Job Overview:

A dedicated and highly efficient Team Leader is required to join the Government and Defence Team at Lavarack Barracks.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of storepeople to deliver operational excellence from all areas of warehouse and distribution, including safety, receiving, reporting, inventory management, and quality control.

This role involves providing support with stocktaking, inventory management, invoicing, receipting, customer service, and reporting as well as performing general store duties such as high reach and counter balance forklift operation, RF scanning, and pick/pack duties.

The ideal candidate will have proven leadership capabilities, including the ability to effectively engage a team, and strong communication skills with effective negotiation abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a team of storepeople to deliver operational excellence.
  • Provide support with stocktaking, inventory management, invoicing, receipting, customer service, and reporting.
  • Perform general store duties such as high reach and counter balance forklift operation, RF scanning, and pick/pack duties.
  • Liaise with transport providers and the greater warehouse team to ensure an accurate and efficient inbound process.
  • Assist with quality requirements by accurately inspecting and recording all inbound freight movements into the DC.
