Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Design Manager to lead our design function across minerals processing and site infrastructure projects worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the coordination and direction of design teams to ensure technical competence and performance meet project requirements.
  • Programme workloads and provide guidance to engineers and designers.
  • Collaborate with management to plan resources and meet project design objectives.
  • Administer technical briefs for sub-consultant engagement.
  • Prepare and control issue of the Project Design Management Plan.
  • Coordinate design interfaces with clients' designers as required.
  • Manage engineers/designers to ensure authorisation and issue of documents and drawings.
  • Respond to technical queries from contractors and other project staff in a timely manner.
  • Identify, investigate, record and report on design non-conformances.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational design management systems.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 10+ years' industry experience with leadership roles.
  • Extensive knowledge of organisation practices and industry standards.
  • Experience in managing technical/project teams.
