About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Community Development Specialist to support children and families experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

The successful candidate will work with children aged 4-14 years and their families to develop life skills and promote healthy child development through counseling and support.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking assessments and counseling of children and their families to improve their overall personal and social development, and their health and wellbeing.
  • Developing client-focused support plans for each child and their family.
  • Making referrals to ongoing services as required and encouraging children and families to stay connected to educational settings, sport and recreation opportunities, and physical and mental health services.
