Job Description: Senior Research Officer

The Senior Research Officer will play a key role in conducting research independently within a laboratory, with strategic guidance and oversight from the Laboratory Head. This position requires working towards achieving funding to support research projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research independently within a laboratory
  • Work towards achieving funding to support research projects
  • Develop novel, tailored therapeutic interventions for pancreatic cancer
  • Collaborate with clinical collaborators to translate treatment strategies into clinical trials

Requirements:

  • PhD in relevant field such as cancer cell biology and/or immunology
  • Minimum 4 years post-doctoral experience
  • Significant record of scientific achievement with strong first-author track record of scientific publications
  • High level of research independence and innovation
  • Established expertise in molecular, cell biology techniques
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and strategic thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
