Monadelphous is seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Perth. As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of major projects in the resources, energy, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop control budgets and estimates in line with project scope and work breakdown structure across the full project life cycle.
- Project Forecasting: Undertake project forecasting and estimate to complete.
- Cost Reporting and Analysis: Earned Value Analysis, Cost Reporting, and Cost Performance evaluation.
- Variance Analysis: Trend, risk, and opportunity identification.
- Project Accounting: Manage project accounting activities, including cost control, responsible for leading the compilation of the monthly progress claim.
- Commercial Management: Be the link between the Project team and the Commercial team in Perth.
- Financial Management: Process month-end accounting activities, including relevant accruals, provisions, allocations, and cost transfers.
- Reporting and Presentations: Prepare monthly management reports and present to senior management.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, commerce, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in project accounting or related field.
- Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
