We are seeking a seasoned Construction Law Specialist to join our team. This is a key position that will play a critical role in the success of our business.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice on contract interpretation and administration to our construction business unit.
  • Identify and advise on contractual and legal risks associated with complex construction projects.
  • Prepare returnable schedules and amendments to head contracts, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in tender and contract discussions and negotiations, leveraging your expertise to drive business outcomes.
  • Develop special conditions for template agreements, tailored to meet the specific needs of our clients.
  • Review and approve confidentiality agreements and memoranda of understanding, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Support the management of formal legal disputes, providing strategic guidance and advice to our stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hold a degree in law and be a current practising certificate holder in NSW.
  • Possess 3-10 years PQE experience in construction law, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Be an effective communicator, able to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Apply logical principles to theoretical and practical problems, driving informed decision-making.
