The successful candidate can expect an hourly rate based on the SCHADS Award. In addition, we offer a team-based structure and an inclusive culture, as well as ongoing training and development opportunities.

Job Description:

As a Disability Care Assistant, your primary responsibilities will include mentoring and skill development, guiding customers to explore and develop their personal interests/hobbies. You will also be responsible for coaching independent living skills such as cooking, domestic and social skills, administering medication, and adhering to individual support plans. Furthermore, you will provide personal care when required and help customers engage with their local communities and culture through access to Community Participation Programs and recreational activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

We are seeking candidates with versatile communication skills, including the ability to interact with both verbal and non-verbal customers. A current driver's license is mandatory, and applicants must also possess current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or be willing to obtain) and up-to-date First Aid and CPR Certificates. Formal qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or similar, would be advantageous.

Location:

This role is based in WoyWoy, NSW, offering flexible shifts in a supportive environment.

Estimated Salary:

$30-$40 per hour
