About the Opportunity:

We take pride in delivering high-quality glass solutions for beer, wine, spirits, food, and non-alcoholic beverages, consistently exceeding our customers' expectations.

An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Visy Glass Spotswood Plant for the position of Shift Dual Trade. This role is dynamic and varied, requiring close collaboration with the maintenance team on both scheduled and emergency maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responding to equipment breakdowns
  • Troubleshooting and repairing machinery involved in the bottle manufacturing process
  • Proactively identifying and reporting potential hazards
  • Utilizing SAP for data collection and maintenance information analysis
  • This is a permanent position, offering 35 hours of work per week on an 8-hour rotating roster
  • Shifts will include day, afternoon, and night rotations
  • Competitive compensation at $59.42 per hour plus a 15% shift loading

Qualifications and Skills:

  • To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:
  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade
  • Victorian A-grade electrical license
  • Extensive experience as a Mechanical Fitter in an industrial setting, preferably within manufacturing
  • Experience in fault finding with PLCs and Motor Controls
  • A strong commitment to safety and quality standards (including LOTO and JSEAs)
  • Prior experience with SAP Plant Maintenance
